Privacy Policy
MechaBud, by Pocket Forge Studios · Last updated 31 July 2026
This is the plain-English version, because privacy policies should be
readable. MechaBud collects very little, and none of it is sold, shared for
advertising, or used to identify you.
What we collect
- An anonymous account ID. When the game first runs it creates a
random anonymous account (via Google Firebase). It isn't linked to your
name, email, or anything about you.
- Your game save. Progress, robot builds, arcade levels and
scores are backed up to that anonymous account so your progress is safe
and leaderboards work.
- Bug reports & feedback you send. If you tap "Report a bug"
or "Send feedback", we receive your note plus basic game state (build
number, progress) to help us fix things.
- Your email, only if you give it. The beta signup form on our
website stores the email you enter, used only to contact you about
MechaBud testing.
What we don't do
- No selling or renting data — to anyone, ever.
- No ad-tracking profiles. If optional ads are added, they'll be
clearly-labelled and this policy will be updated first.
- No access to your contacts, photos, location, microphone, or anything
else on your device.
Where it lives
Data is stored on Google Firebase servers. Traffic between the game and
those servers is encrypted.
Deleting your data
Email PocketForgeStudios@proton.me
from any address (include your in-game handler name if you have one) and
we'll delete your cloud data. Uninstalling the game removes everything
stored on your device.
Children
MechaBud is intended for players aged 13 and over.
Changes
If this policy changes in any meaningful way, the "last updated" date
above changes with it, and in-game notice will be given before anything new
takes effect.
